Shane Madden is a digital artist who specializes in all types of illustration including concept design, matte painting and cover art.

Shane’s professional experience includes concept art, environmental design, architectural renderings for elements of Burg Dubai and medical drawings for anatomy textbooks. In addition to illustration, Shane has six years of experience as an Art Director.

In July 2006, Shane’s article on rendering hair appeared in 2D Artist Magazine in the UK – a trade magazine for illustrators and concept artists. This sparked a desire to give back and help grow the community. In January 2006, Shane became Niagara College’s newest Illustration Professor.

Shane heralds from the scientific and technical illustration programme at the world-renowned Sheridan College. A classically trained illustrator, Shane has a strong background in both technical and mechanical renderings including not only inanimate objects, but also the human anatomy.
